- 2 / 5By Nicky LambBooked weeks ago for my stepdads birthday, waited for a call back and confirmed the booking. Called again in the week to add 2 people and confirmed the booking again. Turned up today to find we didn't have a table as my booking wasn't on the list. To say I was fuming was an understatement and then to be asked if I booked the right place really didn't help. They managed to squeeze us in by the bar with a free round of drinks and the food was very good, roasts were delicious. Service was appalling, asked them to help with the cake, 20 minutes later, no cake, chased it up to find it was just dumped in the kitchen!! At least tell me you can't help because you're busy. They just didn't seem to be able to cope, good luck in the summer!! But if you take all that away, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff, great food!June 29, 2016
